The demand for generative AI is exploding, driving the need for powerful computing resources across industries ranging from drug discovery and materials science to autonomous driving. Training and deploying these complex models can be prohibitively expensive. OPTAGE’s AI DC addresses this challenge by utilizing liquid-cooled, containerized data centers equipped with latest GPUs, strategically located in suburban areas with ample space and power. This innovative approach enables high-intensity AI training at a significantly lower cost than traditional data centers. High-bandwidth connectivity to OPTAGE's Osaka Connectivity Center (OC1) will provide seamless global access for AI model development and deployment.

Fixstars will contribute its AI Booster software suite and other AI-related tools to optimize performance within the AI DC. The company will also offer GPU utilization support to end-users. Leveraging its global market research expertise, Fixstars will conduct user surveys and provide technical guidance on component selection to ensure the AI DC meets the evolving needs of AI researchers and developers.

“Fixstars has a deep history of optimizing software for high-performance computing environments, enabling us to maximize GPU utilization across diverse fields,” said Satoshi Miki, CEO of Fixstars. “We are excited to partner with OPTAGE on this groundbreaking AI Data Center initiative. By leveraging our software technology, we will empower users with a high-performance, cost-effective infrastructure for their AI workloads.”

Fixstars has a proven track record of developing efficient AI development platforms. The company recently announced the release of Fixstars AI Booster and supplied its Fixstars AI Booster for the training environment of Sony Honda Mobility Inc.’s “AFEELA” autonomous driving AI.
